Refunds & cancellation

Last updated: 2026-06-23

This document is a working draft published ahead of public launch and full business registration. It is provided in good faith and may be updated.

How subscriptions cancel, how the EU right of withdrawal applies to a digital service, and when we issue refunds.

1. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal (Account → Plans & billing → Manage subscription). Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and then simply does not renew. After it ends, your account reverts to the free tier — you keep your account and data.

2. Renewals

Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. We don’t charge for usage beyond the flat monthly price.

3. EU right of withdrawal (14 days)

As a consumer in the EU you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Rooteq is a digital service supplied immediately, when you start a paid subscription you ask us to begin providing it at once and acknowledge that:

  • if you withdraw within 14 days and have not used paid features, you are entitled to a full refund of that period;
  • if you have already started using paid features within those 14 days, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the use made before withdrawal.

This does not affect any stronger rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

4. Refunds outside the withdrawal period

Monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, since you retain access for that period. That said, if something genuinely isn’t working, you were charged in error, or you were billed after cancelling, contact us — we’ll review it fairly and put it right, including a refund where appropriate.

5. Promo codes

Access granted by a promo code is free and time-limited; it has no cash value and is not refundable.

6. How to request a refund

Email rooteq.info@gmail.com from the address on your account, with the date and reason. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe.
